30 Days of Cosplay: Day 13
Your cosplay specialty
I always seem to navigate towards blue haired characters. What can I say, blue’s my favorite color. And while I do my best to match fabric choices for costumes to the characters, if there’s an opportunity to use suede, I will. I also do a lot of custom dying, especially when I want to make something out of a knit material where the color selection is limited. I have a ton of white cotton knit fabric lying around for whenever I need it. After all, having a little stretch to your fabric can make life so much easier.
30 Days of Cosplay: Day 7
The character you have cosplayed that is most similar to you
I hate to answer with Viola again, but I can’t think of another that’s more similar to me. Much like Viola, I grew up out in the open fields of the country on the remnants of a goat farm. She’s an animal lover and animals are one thing I can’t imagine living my life without. She’s more of a support character who’s ok with being in the background, sometimes overlooked, as long as everyone else gets what they need and are happy. She’s often cheerful, but knows when to get serious, and I feel like she’s a character I can really relate to.
(Other fun facts: I’m currently the same age as Viola and I share a first name with her English voice actress)
Krieger’s Virtual Girlfriend from Archer
I had the most amazing time in this costume at Dragon*Con, especially since I got to meet several people from the show including the creator, Adam Reed and Krieger’s voice actor, Lucky Yates! I love this show!

30 Days of Cosplay: Day 6
Your favourite cosplay
This is hard to answer, because there’s parts I like about a lot of my costumes. I would have to answer with Viola from Eternal Sonata though. I made the costume almost completely out of seude (my favorite fabric to work with) and fur, plus I got to have a great bow as a prop and a little furry companion (Arco). This costume was a big step up for me in terms of skills used, especially the wig which was the first wig I ever did major styling to. It was also the first costume I did in a group with one of my best friends ever. We entered a costume contest (my first) and took home the award for ‘Best Video Game’. So overall, my Viola costume brought lots of firsts and lots of great memories making it my favorite cosplay.
